Microsoft meraup keuntungan berlipat setelah menjual lebih dari 4,3 juta konsol video game Xbox 360 hanya tempo tiga bulan. Rekor tersebut disumbangkan oleh game Halo 3 yang mencapai 8,1 juta copy dan Mass Effect yang mencapai 1,6 juta copy.
Microsoft mengklaim sebanyak 17,7 juta copy Xbox 360 telah terjual di seluruh dunia sejak diluncurkan pertama kali pada tahun 2005. Hingga akhir September 2007 lalu, penjualan Xbox 360 tercatat hanya mencapai 13,4 juta. Konsol xbox 360 bersaing ketat dengan Nintendo Wii dan Sony PlayStation 3 untuk mendominasi pasar video game. Industri game ini menyumbang angka US$ 40 miliar pada 2007.
Sementara pesaingnya masih bungkam soal penjualan konsol mereka masing-masing di musim liburan 2007. Konsol game Nintendo Wii tercatat lalu sebanyak 13,2 juta dan PS3 sebanyak 5,6 juta hingga akhir September 2007.

First we have the Xbox 360 which of course is the next generation in the Xbox line. We also have the Sony PlayStation 3 which is Sony’s newest incarnation of the PlayStation which caused quite a ruckus upon its release, and then we have the Nintendo Wii which on its opening day completely sold out all available units
I am currently on holiday so, for this reason, I’ve nothing better to do than surf the web for Xbox 360 games, lie around and update my blog. Well, more or less anyway. Doug
